THE STORY

Every piece has a story

Traditional matcha bowls are wide for a reason — you need room to whisk. But most of them are too shallow and the tea cools before you finish. Ours is a little deeper, a little narrower. The walls hold heat longer without fighting the chasen.

The interior has a deliberate spiral texture left from throwing. It catches the matcha powder in the crevices and gives the whisk something to work against. The exterior is left unglazed below the midline — partly for the feel in your hands, partly because it looks right.

Sized for both hands. That's the point.
